On our way to Cocos Island at the more southern end of Guam... Amazing water! This photo has NOT been retouched or altered at all. Here's a shot of a lionfish at about 40 feet. This guy (and all his buddies) was so chill... he just sat there, photo after photo. Didn't care that we were there. Didn't care that I had a monster strobe bathing him in light every couple of seconds. Didn't care; period. But the amazing color is thanks to the strobe. If you dive, get one. I used the SeaLife 960D. Great flash, lousy battery case. But when the case works, the results are awesome!
Down we go into Nathan's Dent!
The highlight of our tour in Nathan's Dent: a lone jellyfish glides through the water. He seemed completely unaware of us... until someone got below him and sent bubbles up his way. Not sure if jellyfish get surprised, but if they do, he certainly was. How's that for a confusing sentence fragment?
